Another guest post from my lovely friend Lisa Bee of Canada!
If America can ever get past its mortification and embarrassment over George W. Bush, they might discover a certain fondness for him — the kind of fondness one has for a crazy aunt, or more appropriately, a precocious child.
No one can ever accuse George W. of being boring — in fact, he provided an endless source of amusement to people all over the world. He could not, no matter how hard he may have tried, hide the naughty little boy he really was.

Do you remember how he loved to dance? Or the way he massaged Angela Merkel’s shoulders? Remember when he winked at the Queen of England? Not since Trudeau (Pierre Trudeau of Canada, April 1969-June, 1979) has a nation’s leader been so presumptuous.
Do you remember when he expressed the hope that some day humans and fish could learn to coexist peacefully? Or how people work so hard to put food on their families? Do you remember him saying OB-GYN’s needed to be able to give more love to their patients?

His endless verbal gaffes will be sorely missed by talk show hosts and satirists. His grasp of grammar was elementary at best. He stumbled over his tongue like it was a foreign object in his mouth.
There were times he almost seemed drunk — and considering how unpopular he was, it would not at all surprise me to find out he was.

Looks drunk to me.

George W Bush was a disaster as a president. But it just may be that one day Americans might be able to look back fondly on the precocious child who occupied the White House for eight years.
Love him or hate him, you couldn’t help but laugh at him.
And really… what else could you do?
These are some of my favourite George W. Bush pictures from over the years.
