Okay, this is purely for prurient interest, so be warned! Okay, maybe not entirely prurient; it does involve my friend Claudia.
On Thursday, April 21, 2011, The Lake Forest Hooters in extremely Republican Red Orange County, California held its annual Bikini Pageant. My lovely friend Claudia works at that restaurant and also competed in the pageant. She came in second; wearing two bikinis she designed and made herself.
Just a short (let’s hope) tangent here: my friend John and I attended the pageant and decided to have a late dinner in the process — a really late dinner. I know my doctor and nutritionist absolutely forbid such excesses, but you know …
So, John gets himself one of Hooters’ fine burgers and their covered in stuff tater tot things and I ordered a five-piece wings — Three Mile island — along with onion rings. I like both (Hopefully the doctor and nutritionist no longer pay attention to this site)! John says he doesn’t like Hooters wings! What??!!??
Yeah! So, like many of my friends, if not all of my friends, he doesn’t care for Hooters Buffalo wings. Am I the only person I know who likes Hooters’ wings? Specifically the Three Mile Island version — breaded of course!
I’m verkelmpt, but getting back to the topic:
Which are Claudia’s bikinis, the first being a “Hooters Shooter” motif fashioned after the Marine Corps uniform. Because of Camp Pendleton, there are a lot of Marines in the area.
The second bikini was a purple (I guess) ensemble with gold chains, gold Hooters insignia on one breast and “Lake Forest” imprinted on the other. She rocked with both bikinis. Well, okay, it’s hard to knock any woman wearing a bikini, especially Hooters Girls in bikinis not designed for the waves at the beach.
There were twenty contestants, but only four made the podium: Shannon and Afton tied for Third Place, Claudia won Second and Brenda won First Place!
So, in a not so extreme departure from the norm, en homage to bikinis, bikini pageants, Hooters Girls everywhere and one Hooters Girl in particular! May she rock the Regional Pageant in Los Angeles and find herself at the International Pageant next month! And let’s hope you win the Viewers’ Choice again!
You rock Claudia!
